The concentration of Black-and-white Colobus Monkeys, which are the only ruminates in the primate order, is unsurpassed. They are born on trees and die on trees, but are easy to see throughout the Park. The alkaline water of the Momela lakes adds to the concentration of large mammals like buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and zebras plus some carnivores including hyenas, leopards and small cats. The sight of Mt. Meru might make you want to stay a bit longer, and you can spend the night in a campsite or lodge! .
